Always store a car emergency light

An emergency vehicle, whether it is a car, or a bike, or a truck, must surely have an emergency light. But what about non-emergency vehicles? Do they need an emergency light? The answer is that they do. A car emergency light is a preferred option even for all private cars, whether they are involved in emergency operations or not.

Though there will be a car interior light in all motor vehicles, it is better for all vehicle users to keep an extra flashlight or a few light sticks inside their vehicles, especially while traveling long distance or during the night. To search for something inside the car, to make the path visible while getting out of the car, or to see the street name or house number that one is searching for, there should be a car emergency light in the form of a hand-operable light.

Sometimes vehicles like delivery trucks will have to be parked at inconvenient places for unloading. While these may not be emergency vehicles by definition, it is important that such vehicles alert others of their presence. For that, it must have a temporarily mountable emergency light in the car. And any vehicle can break down at any time and at any place. The vehicle user will then need a car emergency light to flag down help, and to make the vehicle visible to others. So it is important that he has always got one in store.

While it is better to keep a car emergency light in reserve in the vehicles of even ordinary people, it is more important in the case of people like volunteer firefighters, emergency medical technicians etc. Volunteer firefighters may not be aligned with the regular fire service department, but they should ideally be ready to respond to an emergency call at any time and must be prepared with a car emergency light that they can activate at any time.

The type of emergency light that a volunteer firefighter is allowed to use may be a courtesy light or a regular emergency light based upon the law of the state where he operates. So, he must have in his own vehicle a car emergency light that is commensurate with local requirements. It is important that he must have the light within the car all the time and not at home alone. Since a call could come at any time, he should not be in a situation where he has to go home and pick up the emergency light and then proceed.

The same rule applies to emergency medical technicians also. They too must have a car emergency light stored in their vehicle to respond to emergencies. The lights used byvolunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians will generally be small emergency lights that can be temporarily mounted inside their vehicles on the deck or dash or visor. Besides this emergency vehicle warning lights, they must preferably have in their vehicle a handy flashlight as well for other emergencies.
Other people who should have a car emergency light in their vehicle are people like trekkers, hunters etc. This light they should store in addition to what they have to keep readied for their jobs and expeditions.

Strobe tube kits are highly versatile

Strobe lights do an excellent job as hideaway lights and among the many reasons that make it suitable for the job is the clear strobe tubes. Strobe tube kits allow these tubes to be mounted anywhere inside the vehicle, or fitted into any existing outside lights. Strobe tubes are generally versatile in nature and will work with most major brands of power supply units. Strobe tubes may be screwed in by mounting screws or may just be fit for a standard 1” hole and clasped in place by silicone.

Though strobe lights may be designed differently for different purposes, average strobe tube kits will do many jobs. There are all purpose strobe tube kits that can be used with equal facility in a fire truck, in show cars, in undercover operations, or as a store-away in any vehicle for emergencies. Strobe tube kits that have on an average a 12' wiring harness and have got 4 tubes will do all these jobs quite satisfactorily.

The fact that manufacturers allow a high level of customization for strobe tube kits makes it a popular choice for many purposes. 90 watt strobe tube kits may have six or more strobe tube assemblies, 15' or more length of cables and connectors, and toggle switch, for which customers will be able to select more than two dozens of flash patterns.

Small strobe tube kits with a single tube are also available for emergency uses. They can be mounted with magnetic mounts or can be used as handheld flashlights. These come in handy as parking lights in private vehicles when parked in unexpected places, for pedestrians' use, in bicycles, or in motorbikes. Fishermen sometimes carry these small lights in their boats, and they are used by hunters and hikers as well.

The strobe tubes powered by strobe tube kits may be straight or U-shaped tubes, or may even be fashioned into oval or ring-shaped patterns. A typical xenon strobe tube will be filled with xenon gas and hermetically sealed. Tungsten is used in the making of the electrodes with anode being made of purer tungsten and cathode of porous tungsten. Quartz or borosilicate is generally used for making the tube and the electrodes will be soldered to the tube with a mechanical seal or may be fused with the tube material.

Strobe tube kits are extensively used in show cars. These will have many standard built-in flash patterns. In addition to it, users will be given a guidance manual with which they can program different flash patterns to rise and fall with the music that is being played. There are also strobe tube kits that can be fixed in such a way that they will light two parts of a vehicle like the front and back, or above the car and under the car area. There are options even for switching the mode of those lights that are accommodated into the car headlights or taillights for concealed lighting. They can be easily converted into dancing lights.
