Always store a car emergency light

An emergency vehicle, whether it is a car, or a bike, or a truck, must surely have an emergency light. But what about non-emergency vehicles? Do they need an emergency light? The answer is that they do. A car emergency light is a preferred option even for all private cars, whether they are involved in emergency operations or not.

Though there will be a car interior light in all motor vehicles, it is better for all vehicle users to keep an extra flashlight or a few light sticks inside their vehicles, especially while traveling long distance or during the night. To search for something inside the car, to make the path visible while getting out of the car, or to see the street name or house number that one is searching for, there should be a car emergency light in the form of a hand-operable light.

Sometimes vehicles like delivery trucks will have to be parked at inconvenient places for unloading. While these may not be emergency vehicles by definition, it is important that such vehicles alert others of their presence. For that, it must have a temporarily mountable emergency light in the car. And any vehicle can break down at any time and at any place. The vehicle user will then need a car emergency light to flag down help, and to make the vehicle visible to others. So it is important that he has always got one in store.

While it is better to keep a car emergency light in reserve in the vehicles of even ordinary people, it is more important in the case of people like volunteer firefighters, emergency medical technicians etc. Volunteer firefighters may not be aligned with the regular fire service department, but they should ideally be ready to respond to an emergency call at any time and must be prepared with a car emergency light that they can activate at any time.

The type of emergency light that a volunteer firefighter is allowed to use may be a courtesy light or a regular emergency light based upon the law of the state where he operates. So, he must have in his own vehicle a car emergency light that is commensurate with local requirements. It is important that he must have the light within the car all the time and not at home alone. Since a call could come at any time, he should not be in a situation where he has to go home and pick up the emergency light and then proceed.

The same rule applies to emergency medical technicians also. They too must have a car emergency light stored in their vehicle to respond to emergencies. The lights used byvolunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians will generally be small emergency lights that can be temporarily mounted inside their vehicles on the deck or dash or visor. Besides this emergency vehicle warning lights, they must preferably have in their vehicle a handy flashlight as well for other emergencies.
Other people who should have a car emergency light in their vehicle are people like trekkers, hunters etc. This light they should store in addition to what they have to keep readied for their jobs and expeditions.
